Annie Foster Ahmed

Business Advisor

Annie Foster Ahmed is the Business Advisor for VESSEL INC. Her love for the arts began at an early age dancing with her neighborhood friends and performing at local parks and her church. In college, Annie continued to dance and started training in African Dance with Master Dancers from the Le Ballet National Du Senegal. Eventually, she became a member of the African Dance and Other Cultures Company (ADOCO) and performed throughout Buffalo and Canada. In Maryland, she continued to train with Kankouran Dance Company for several years.

Annie fully believes in the healing energy that dance provides and has been supportive of the dance community in the Washington-Metropolitan area for many years.  When her daughter joined the Culture Shock dance team she supported the organization by volunteering to help out at many programs and events. Eventually Annie joined the operations board for the organization and helped with writing grants and producing the annual dance competition.

Annie has been an employee of the University of Maryland for thirty two years serving as an educational administrator however she continues to give back to her community in various ways. She currently serves as a board member of the Literacy Council of Montgomery County and is an active member of the Potomac Valley Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She is also a member of the 2019 class of Leadership Montgomery.

Annie still loves to dance and is excited about the opportunities that VESSEL, INC. offers the community of Montgomery County especially for people who come from backgrounds similar to her own.
